Window & Door Replacement
in Vinings, GA
Vinings fits hillside homes, townhomes and condos into a few square miles along the Chattahoochee. We replace their windows and doors with factory-direct Vytex windows and ProVia doors.
Vinings’s Window & Door Replacement Contractor
Vinings takes its name from the railroad: William H. Vining was the Western & Atlantic assistant engineer in charge of the railroad bridge here in the 1840s, and Paces Ferry Road still follows the way to Hardy Pace's old ferry across the Chattahoochee. Union troops occupied the area in July 1864, and around 1870 Solomon Pace rebuilt the family home on Paces Mill Road from doors, windows and pieces of cabins that survived the fire.
Today Vinings is an unincorporated community in Cobb County, roughly bounded by I-285, I-75, the Chattahoochee and Atlanta Road, with Buckhead across the water and the Battery Atlanta next door. It is a quick trip from our Roswell Road shop, and every project gets a free measure visit and a firm written price.
We work across Vinings, including Paces Ferry Road, the Pace House and Old Pavilion, Vinings Mountain, Chattahoochee River and The Battery Atlanta area.
Does Your Vinings Home Need New Windows?
Drafts you can feel
Air moving around the sash or frame on a cold or windy day means the seals and weatherstripping have worn out.
Fog between the panes
Moisture inside the glass means the insulated seal has failed and the gas fill is gone.
Sashes that stick or drop
Windows that won't open, won't stay up or won't lock usually have worn balances or warped frames.
Rooms that run hot or cold
Upstairs bedrooms that never match the thermostat are often losing the fight through old glass.
Outside noise
Road and neighborhood noise that carries indoors drops noticeably with tight, insulated windows.
Soft or rotting frames
Peeling paint, soft wood or crumbling sills mean water has been getting in for a while.

Vinings Homes: Matching Style With Performance
For a small place, Vinings has unusually varied housing: older ranches and cottages on the slopes around Vinings Mountain, large custom homes on wooded lots, and long rows of townhomes and condos near Paces Ferry Road and the Cumberland area. The hillside houses often have tall rear walls of glass looking into the trees, with decks reached through sliding or French doors, while townhomes come with association rules on exterior color and style. Picture windows paired with casements, new patio doors and careful color matching are the usual work here.
Picture windows
For hillside homes that look out into the trees, a picture window gives the most glass with the least frame.

Casement windows
Flanking a picture window, casements catch the breeze up the slope without blocking the view.

Hinged French doors suit the decks and terraces of Vinings custom homes and larger townhomes.

Two independently sliding sashes let you open from the top, the bottom, or both at once. Both tilt inward for easy interior cleaning — no ladder needed. The most common window replacement in metro Atlanta.
The A1 Windows Difference
Local and owner-supervised
Our office is on Roswell Rd in Marietta. The team that measures your Vinings home is the team you call afterward, not a national call center.
Factory-direct Vytex pricing
We buy windows direct from Vytex, so a whole-house project costs far less than the same quality through a showroom retailer.
Two warranties, named separately
Vytex's Limited Lifetime warranty on the windows, plus A1's 2-Year Workmanship warranty on the installation, both in writing.
Energy Efficiency for Vinings’s Climate
Georgia’s long, humid summers make solar heat the biggest energy drain in most homes, and our winters still bring cold snaps that find every gap. The Vytex windows we install pair Low-E coatings with argon gas fill and warm-edge spacers, so less heat gets in during summer and less escapes in winter.
River-valley humidity and long summer afternoons make Low-E glass and argon fill earn their keep in Vinings, especially on west-facing walls of glass.
Turns back solar heat and UV while letting daylight through.
Insulating gas between the panes slows heat flow.
Keep the edge of the glass warmer and drier in winter.
More insulation and quiet where you want it.
